Women of the ELCA

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

WELCA Purpose Statement

  • Circle Bible Studies

Many women in our congregation gather once a month in circle groups for prayer, conversation, and the bible study from Gather magazine. These groups usually meet at church or in a member’s home, so be sure to check The Messenger or contact us to find out the times and locations.

  • Fundraising

Immanuel’s Women of the ELCA run several fundraisers throughout the year - seeking to improve our congregation and community.

Some of these fundraisers include annual events such as:

    • Souper Bowl Soup Sale in January

    • Chicken Pot Pie Sale in February/March

    • Turkey Dinner in October

    • Mistletoe Market in December

  • Funeral Meals
