Membership

A few times a year, we offer what we simply call a New Member Gathering.

New Member Gatherings are simple - and they’re for everyone! We gather for about an hour to get to know you, meet fellow members and friends, share stories of our congregation and ministries, and get a tour of the building we call home! Our entire time together is grounded in our shared mission and baptismal calling.

Our next New Member Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 11:45am.

If you have any questions, please message our Facebook page, email Director of Congregational Life Trevor Thom, or call our church office at 920-261-1663.

  • Check us out! Join us for worship or another activity and get to know our faith community. If Immanuel feels like a good fit, reach out to our church office, fill out one of our Connect with Immanuel cards in the pews, or mark your calendar for our next New Member Gathering.

  • We simply ask all our members to be active participants in the life of the congregation. That looks different for everyone, but it’s our desire for everyone to participate in worship, be part of a ministry, pray for our congregation and each other, and show up to events and activities when you can.

You should know that when you join the congregation, you will affirm our baptismal promises to:

    • live among God’s faithful people

    • hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s supper

    • proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed

    • serve all people following the example of Jesus

    • strive for justice and peace in all the earth

If you want the super technical, bare minimum answer… all voting members of the congregation are required by our constitution to receive communion and give a contribution of record within the last two years. Again, that’s the bare minimum. We’re looking forward to seeing you more than that!

  • No. Scripture tells us that we are all one in Christ, we all belong to his body (the church), and that there should be no distinctions among us.

Women have faithfully served this congregation as pastors, congregation presidents, worship leaders, council members, and more for decades — and we are grateful for their leadership.

Women have had the right to vote in Immanuel’s congregational meetings since 1946. We’re sorry it didn’t happen sooner.
