Through water and God’s word in baptism, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, marked as Christ’s own forever, and welcomed into the community of faith. As Lutherans, we baptize people of all ages: infants, children, teens, and adults.

If you have questions or would like to schedule a baptism for yourself or your child(ren), please contact Pastor Carina or our church office.

First Communion is typically celebrated during the first grade here at Immanuel, though children of all ages are welcome when their parent(s) discern the right time with the pastor. We offer a one-day retreat to learn about and explore the sacraments a few weeks before the special worship service. First Communion is celebrated at the evening worship service on Maundy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter).

Following their Sunday School years, youth in our congregation spend two years of instruction with the pastor, ministry leaders, and mentors. The goal of this time and effort invested in these two years is to ensure each student feels ready and prepared to affirm their baptismal promises.

Whether you are engaged for the first time, were previously married, have children, or are an LGBTQ+ couple, we are delighted that you have chosen to enter the covenant of marriage. Let’s work together to form a firm foundation and beautiful celebration!

Whether a funeral or memorial service will be held at Immanuel, a funeral home, or at graveside, the details and service time will be set in cooperation with the family, our worship staff, and the funeral director. Providing care for the bereaved is part of the mission of our congregation and is available to all of God’s people.
