A Community Performance of A Mother of a Revolution!
Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7:30pm

All are invited to a community performance of A Mother of a Revolution! on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The performance will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA), located at 209 North Ninth Street in Watertown, Wisconsin. Doors will open at 7:00pm with the performance beginning at 7:30pm. Seating is limited. This event is open to the public and free of charge. A live-stream of the event will also be provided.

We are pleased to share that the piece’s composer,
Omar Thomas, is coming to Watertown to conduct the piece and will speak to the audience following.

The purpose of this event is to experience a piece of music that has been prepared by and for people who are rooted in our Watertown community. The performers do not desire to be the center of attention, and we are not gathering for a rally or protest. Instead, the musicians’ hope is for an audience to focus on the work they put into A Mother of a Revolution! and for the music to tell its own story.
