A container, commonly referred to as an offering plate, is located at the entrance to our worship space. You may use your assigned envelope or an envelope from the pew rack. Feel free to place your offering directly in the plate as you enter or leave.

Where Does My Offering Go?

Every penny counts and every dollar makes a difference! When you give to the General Fund, your offering is used for a variety of purposes.

Mission Support (10%) supports the work of the wider church, including churchwide and synod programs and staff, seminaries, campus ministries, and much more.
Staffing (60%) is our largest expense (and asset) as a congregation. Our pastor and staff help support and guide our mission and ministry and support our community each day.
Ministries & Programs (10%) are a relatively small portion of our budget, but they make a big difference! In addition to budgeted funds, our ministries and programs are often supported by designated gifts, Immanuel’s Endowment Fund, and donations from community members and area organizations.
Building Needs (20%) round out the budget. This money is used for basic utilities and building maintenance and repairs.

It’s important to note that many of Immanuel’s ministries and programs are made possible by designated gifts from our congregation and community that are not part of the General Fund, as well as in-kind donations, grants, and our endowment funds.
