Worship Updates from Immanuel! ⛪️
Dear friends,
If you joined us for worship last Sunday, you know that a lot has been happening with our worship space renewal project since it was approved by the congregation on June 15! Even more has happened since then, and we are now coming to the next stage of the project.
Thanks to amazing volunteers from Immanuel who came together last Sunday, our worship space was completely cleared of everything: pews, carpet, hymnals, piano, usher cabinet, and everything else. The boiler room has also been cleaned out. In just a few short hours, a great team of folks made all of this happen. Thank you so much!
As of June 30, we are currently gathering for worship on the second floor of our Ministry & Education Wing until further notice. Please use the office entrance on Ninth Street to join us! Our temporary worship space is comfortable, air conditioned, and fully accessible. We can't wait to welcome you! We anticipate being in this temporary worship space through the month of August.
A few things to know:
The office entrance on Ninth Street is the only door we will be using for worship services. All other entrances will remain locked. Ample signage will be placed on all doors to guide members and guests to the correct location, and ushers will be stationed inside and outside the building to help everyone find the right place.
The elevator and the stairwell closest to the church office will be available for you to use as you arrive for worship. Please use either of these options.
The current arrangement has seating for 140 people, and there’s room to grow! Please don’t skip out on worship because you think there won’t be enough space. There’s always room for everyone here at Immanuel!
If you’re someone who is typically cold in air conditioned spaces, you might want to consider bringing a sweater as we determine the right temperature for the space.
Two single-user, all-gender restrooms are available right outside of the worship space, across the hall from the Youth Room.
Coffee Hour will be taking place in the Youth Room. This is a large, open space with a kitchenette and ample seating that will work perfectly for coffee hour. We know you’re going to love it!
Our Sunday worship services will continue to be live-streamed, just like we normally do now.
We have been preparing for this for a while now and it’s finally go time! We appreciate your patience and ask that you hang in there with us as we make adjustments and work through all the logistical and technical changes we’ll experience together over the next two months.
Excitement is growing! If you have any questions, please let us know.
See you this weekend!

P.S. - In the midst of all the busyness, a “Little Giant Ladder” owned by Randy Braunschweig has gone missing. If you know where it is or you have taken it by mistake, please reach out to Randy or the church office.
