through Labor Day Weekend
Program Year Schedule
September - May (begins September 8, 2019)
Monday Worship at 6:30pm
God invites ALL of us to worship together!
For Lutherans, worship stands at the center of our life of faith. Through word and water, wine and bread, and prayer, we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world.
Our worship follows a pattern:
The Holy Spirit calls us together as the people of God.
God speaks to us through scripture, preaching, and song. We take up an offering of money to strengthen the church and serve those in need. Worshippers give tithes, gifts, and offerings for the mission of the church, including the care of those in need. More than 10% of offerings are given to ministry partners and those in need.
God feeds us with the presence of Jesus Christ. We celebrate Holy Communion welcoming all (not just members) to the table of grace. We believe that Jesus is truly present among us when we break bread together, bringing forgiveness, hope grace, community, and salvation. Grape juice and gluten free wafers are always available. Any child or adult wishing to receive a blessing instead of communion is also welcomed to the table.
God blesses us and sends us in mission to the world. But we don't think about worship so much in terms of what we do. Worship is fundamentally about what God is doing and our response to God’s action. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sundays (1st, 3rd, & 5th) at 9:00am and Mondays at 6:30pm - Music is organ-led and our various music groups and choirs enhance each service on a regular basis. In the summer, individuals and groups are invited to offer special music. "Everybody Sings" Sundays give an opportunity for people to gather at 8:30am to learn a simple choir anthem to sing during worship.
Sundays (2nd & 4th) at 9:00am - Music is led by our worship band, combining traditional Lutheran liturgy and the present-day sounds of contemporary music. This service includes uplifting songs of celebration as people gather together responding to our God.
Whether you're visiting us for a special event or you're looking for a congregation to call home, you will find a loving faith community that's ready to welcome you here at Immanuel!
