God invites ALL of us to worship together!
For Lutherans, worship stands at the center of our life of faith. Through word and water, wine and bread, and prayer, we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world.
Our worship follows a pattern:
The Holy Spirit calls us together as the people of God.
God speaks to us through scripture, preaching, and song. We take up an offering of money to strengthen the church and serve those in need. Worshippers give tithes, gifts, and offerings for the mission of the church, including the care of those in need. More than 10% of offerings are given to ministry partners and those in need.
God feeds us with the presence of Jesus Christ. We celebrate Holy Communion welcoming all (not just members) to the table of grace. We believe that Jesus is truly present among us when we break bread together, bringing forgiveness, hope grace, community, and salvation. Grape juice and gluten free wafers are always available. Any child or adult wishing to receive a blessing instead of communion is also welcomed to the table.
God blesses us and sends us in mission to the world. But we don't think about worship so much in terms of what we do. Worship is fundamentally about what God is doing and our response to God’s action. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sundays at 8:00am
This worship service features traditional hymnody, primarily led by our organ. Our gifted Festival Choir and other musical groups make each celebration special! This worship service is featured in Immanuel's broadcast ministries.
Sundays at 10:30am
This worship service, offering a blend of liturgical and contemporary music, is piano-led. On the second and fourth Sunday of each month, our SpiritPraise band leads us in song!
Mondays at 6:30pm
This worship service, much like Sunday's 8:00am worship service, features hymns led by our organ. This is a great worshiping opportunity for those who are busy on weekends or prefer an evening service. Special music is often featured during this celebration.
Whether you're visiting us for a special event or you're looking for a congregation to call home, you will find a loving faith community that's ready to welcome you here at Immanuel!
