Volunteers Needed

The world is hugged by the faithful arms of volunteers.  - Everett Mámor

Dan Needs Help this Winter!

Please consider helping the hardy men and women of the Properties Team as they kindly snowblow and shovel around the church this winter.  You don’t have to sign up for duty all winter long, just let us know when you can help.

Call the church office at 261-1663 or Dan Argus at 699-5619 for more information.

Pew People - Enjoy the Sanctuary!

We need more volunteers to clean the pew racks. This includes making sure communion cards and envelopes are in each pew, and a little light dusting in the sanctuary.

Call the church office at 261-1663 if you are available.

Assist the Salvation Army this Christmas!

Help make the holidays bright for others. The Watertown Salvation Army needs bell ringers, singers and instrumentalists for the coming Christmas season. Volunteers may serve one or two hour shifts beginning November 28 thru December 24. Monies raised in Watertown will be used in Watertown to provide a broad array of social services: utilities, transportation, food, prescription drugs, and more.

Contact Marie Miller to volunteer at 261-4050.

Walk and Talk - Make a New Friend!

Volunteers are needed to walk and talk with a female stroke victim. Your assistance will be much appreciated!

Contact church office at 261-1663 for details.

Commune With Others at Home!

We are looking for a few more people to help take communion to our fellow members who are unable to attend worship services at this time. Some of them are in nursing homes, while others live in their own homes but can’t easily get out. Pastor Terry will give you instructions and answer any questions you have.

Please contact the church office at 261-1663 for details. Thank you.

Worship Service Assistants!

It would be great to have new faces helping as either Assisting Ministers or Communion Assistants. You do not have to sing to be an Assisting Minister (unless you want to) and training is provided.

Contact the church office at 261-1663 if you are interested.

Hospital Visitors Bring Good Cheer!

We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of wonderful people visiting Immanuel members on Monday's, Wednesday’s and Friday’s when they are hospitalized at Watertown Memorial Hospital. Please consider volunteering as a hospital visitor (rotating weeks)! You will receive a printed schedule and instructions.

Call Isabella Mantey, 261-6991 or Janis Shackley, 261-1663 for more information.

Tutoring and Literacy Program!

Share your gifts of knowledge and language with others. For more information please contact:

Have you had a kindness shown?
Pass it on;
'Twas not given for thee alone,
Pass it on;
Let it travel down the years,
Let it wipe another's tears,
'Til in Heaven the deed appears -
Pass it on.

Rev. Henry Burton
